Fast Track allows patients with an injury or sickness to be seen quickly, without waiting in line behind other patients with life-threatening cases. Acute Care has a Level II Trauma Team and any unit within the hospital waiting to spring into action and expedite any tests or procedures that are needed.

The Emergency Center is also the first phase of Lima Memorial’s Chest Pain Center. LMHS was the second in Ohio, and ninth nationally to become an accredited Chest Pain Center. This accreditation assures patients experiencing potential heart attacks that procedures are in place to provide a streamlined treatment flow, enabling these patients to receive the appropriate care as quickly as possible. Because of their efforts, our heart patients get to the Cath Lab in times that are 50 percent quicker than national averages.
