Lactation Consultants

The first few weeks of a new mother's life with her baby are filled with both excitement and challenges. Many new mothers are surprised to find that the natural process of breastfeeding can be one of those challenges. However, breastfeeding is learned and not the instinctive process mothers expect it to be.

To help new mothers overcome the challenges associated with breastfeeding, Lima Memorial’s Family Birth Center has two lactation consultants on staff to provide advice on a variety of issues, including low milk supply, pain, breast engorgement, nipple confusion, pumping and storing breast milk and more.

Let Our Lactation Consultants Answer Your Questions or Concerns
