Each family that has a baby at Lima Memorial is treated to a private suite in a secure unit. These suites are designed for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) – a woman never leaves her original room. Family members can stay in the room with the patient and sleep on a pull out couch.
Furthermore, the baby’s bassinet is portable so baby can stay by your side or in the nursery if you need to catch up on sleep. A Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant is always available for moms choosing to nurse. Our goal is to help the entire family welcome your new addition.
Breastfeeding and Lactation Center at Macy's
A unique opportunity is available to women who shop at Macy's and The Lima Mall. The Lima Memorial Women’s Center at Lazarus is opening its doors to nursing mothers during the center’s hours: Tuesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Women can breastfeed or use a breast pump in a private area. A private breastfeeding area is also available in the first floor women’s lounge during Macy's business hours.
The breast pump and breastfeeding area at Macy's is the only one of its kind in the state of Ohio. Lima Memorial is proud to partner with Macy's on this unrivaled service to the community.
