Being hospitalized can be a difficult and sometimes traumatic experience for patients and families. Lima Memorial Health System believes in offering support for the well being of the whole patient and maintains a pastoral care department to provide resources for both spiritual and emotional support.
Department Services:
- Chaplains can help by listening and aiding our patients in reflecting on their feelings and personal faith.
- The hospital chapel is located on the first floor and is open at all times for personal prayer and meditation.
- Holy Communion is distributed daily by members of St. John’s Catholic Church. A Priest is also available for anointing of the sick and confession upon request.
- When requested by patient, local congregations are notified of patient’s admission.
Hours: - Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. (On-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week)
